Micheal H. Farmer founded CSI in 1995. He was the President of CSI until the end of 2017 when he retired. He now does consulting for CSI and is a integral part of any large loss review/supervision.
Ernest G. Shealy III – President
Ernie joined CSI in 2014 after 16 years in the insurance industry. In conjunction with the other members of management, he oversees the general operations of the company. He has worked in several different areas of the insurance industry and brings a diverse background to CSI.
Ernie graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1997 and immediately began working in the insurance industry. After a short stint in the risk management and underwriting audit field, he went to work in claims with a Fortune 500 company where he would work for 12 years in various roles from adjuster, senior adjuster, claims examiner, supervisor, and claims branch manager. After leaving the insurance company side of the business, he spent time as a general manager for a daily/catastrophe adjusting company and as well as a property and casualty agency manager for an independent insurance agency.
Mace A. Farmer – Senior Vice President
Mace joined his brother Mike at CSI in 1998. He has been in the claims industry since 1981 with experience in both auto and property claims. He has worked in the catastrophe claims business since 1998 specializing in residential and commercial property losses.
Mace has been primarily in management since 1990. He has overseen many catastrophic events. He works in conjunction with Mike to prepare catastrophe plans for clients that meet their needs.
Jennifer L. Janak – VP Operations
Jennifer has been with CSI full time since 2005. She worked onsite for CSI during catastrophic events while she was in college. She has been in and around the insurance claims business since 1995.
Jennifer oversees the day to day operations at CSI. She is the liaison between the clients, adjusters and the office staff. She is instrumental in getting everything organized during a large catastrophe and takes care of all catastrophe claim assignments. She also handles all of the accounting for the company. Her expertise is problem solving, company efficiency, and working with clients to make sure all of their needs are met.
Ron Dyer – Claims Review Manager
Ron is a resident of Kansas City, MO and attended college at University of Missouri Kansas City. He spent 26 years in transportation starting as a trainee working all positions including dock supervisor and driver, settling finally for 24 years in sales and operations. An opportunity presented itself and after securing a Texas Adjuster’s License, a change of career was made to an Independent Adjuster.
After training and working for other adjusting firms, he was provided an opportunity as a field adjuster for Catastrophe Specialist, Inc. where he has spent the last 14 years. During Hurricane Matthew, he joined the management staff at CSI as a trainer for Xactimate and a file analyst. He ensures all new adjusters have the appropriate forms and information to perform their respective duties. He also acts as an information source for carrier requirements and policy interpretation.
Micah Harrison – Field Claims Manager
Micah came joined CSI in early 2019 and handles adjuster training and development, new and existing client marketing, and file review for CSI. He comes to us following a career that started with a large property and casualty carrier after graduating from Lamar University in 1998.
Working as an insurance staff employee for 7 years, he held various positions including adjuster, general adjuster, and branch supervisor. For the remainder of Micah’s career, he has been an independent general adjuster, claims practices/estimatics expert witness, and has served on hundreds of appraisal panels as both an appraiser and umpire. He holds multiple carrier certifications, state licenses, and claims/trade organization designations. His commercial and residential catastrophe experience brought him to assignments in 20+ states and Canada working every major hurricane in various capacities since 2003, along with dozens hail, tornado, wind and other insured events.
Melinda K. Hendricks – Office Manager
Melinda has been with CSI since 2008. She started as an Administrative Assistant and is now currently the Office Manager. Melinda works directly with the VP of Operations, clients and the adjusters to ensure a smooth claims handling process. Her job performances include, but not limited to: handling day to day responsibilities of the office, running reports for companies and adjusters, accounting, and new admin training. She is always available to answer questions or handle concerns of clients or adjusters, and is highly focused on excellent customer service.
Kasey Dill – Admin Assistant
Kasey has been with CSI since 2017. Kasey works directly with our adjusters to make sure they have everything necessary to be efficient in the field. She handles everything from new claim entry, running company and adjuster reports, to billing and is focused on excellent customer service to the clients and their insureds.
